NIU MOTOR BIKES FAMILY
NIU currently designs manufactures and sells high performance smart electric scooters. NIU currently has a streamlined product portfolio consisting of seven series, NQi, MQi, UQi, NIU Aero, Gova, RQi, TQi, with multiple models and specifications for end consumers such as NIU Power accessories and NIU AERO outdoor sports bicycles.
The MQi model and UQi model are the only urban mobility products that have won all seven major international design awards in the past 20 years, including Red Dot and IF in Germany, IDEA in United States, and G Mark in Japan.
NIU NQI SERIES
The NIU NQi-Series is using state of the art lithium-ion battery packs by Panasonic with a two-year guarantee. Weighing in at only 10kg (22lbs.), you can easily carry the NIU battery for in-home/office re-charging. The 29aH battery pack is fully re-charged in six hours, providing an 50-70km range, or about four typical days of urban commuting.
BOSCH + FOC Power Train System
We teamed up with BOSCH to build an ultra efficient and smart motor to bring e-scooters into the future. At the center of this collaboration is the NIU developed “Field-Oriented Control” system, that we customized for the 1800W BOSCH motor to optimize power consumption. We coupled the FOC optimized motor with an EBS dual brake system to recycle power back into the system. When you’re braking, you're re-charging.

MQi-Series is smaller and lighter than its big brother, the NQi-Series. We worked with Bosch to jointly develop a smaller motor that requires lower energy consumption while still giving the zip you need in urban areas.

The Next Generation of Lithium-ion has Arrived
We've harnessed Panasonic lithium-ion technology to get 51-65km of range in an impossibly light 8.3kg battery pack, and the all new handle and aluminum alloy casing make it easy and smart to carry on the go.
NIU uQI SERIES
Different driving habits, modes of acceleration, and energy consumption all impact our riding. With our collection of nearly one billion kilometers of user riding data, NIU has successfully uncovered the real-city factors that influence our everyday riding habits. Using 150,000 riders in our study sample, we created a smart scooter that’s purpose-built for the city.
Field Oriented Control (FOC)
NIU developed its FOC vector controller to communicate with the UQi-Series’ motor. After configuring a sophisticated algorithum, rigorous motor tests, and adjusting the power input, we achieved a smooth acceleration rate of 10% input ≈ 10% output. The FOC is the latest in original, state-of-the-art technology.
New Six-Axis Motion Sensor
The UQi-Series’ anti-theft alarm accuracy range has been shortened to only 3 meters thanks to the new MEMS six-axis motion sensor. Using the on-board gyroscope to measure the vehicle’s acceleration and GPS positioning, we are able to more accurately identify an unauthorized movement of your scooter. The MEMS six-axis is not just an anti-theft tool. It detects all kinds of movements in your scooter. You can even get a notification on your phone if your scooter topples over.
